nsaa: black rice scrub
nsaa: black rice scrub
nsaa (NH-SAH-AH) is a woolen textile valued as one of the highest quality textiles in ghana. there’s actually a proverb "nea onnim nsaa oto n'ago,” which means "he who does not know authentic nsaa will buy the fakes." as an adinkra symbol of the ashanti kingdoms in ghana, nsaa has come to symbolize excellence, genuineness, and authenticity. nsaa as a body scrub is purposed to gently scrub away what no longer serves your skin’s wealth, and revitalize the rest. nsaa is sure to reveal the glowing quality underneath. nsaa exfoliates your dead skin cells, detoxifies, reduces inflammation, stimulates skin cell regeneration, and protects it.
nsaa is a magical combination of love, intention, black rice (oryza sativa), kokum butter (garcinia indica seed), rosehip oil (rosa canina l.), raspberry seed oil (rubus idaeus), palmarosa essential oil (cymbopogon martinii), tea tree essential oil (melaleuca alternifolia), ginger (zingiber officinale).
nsaa is high in antioxidants, vitamin A/ E/ C and zinc.
recommended richuals: starting with dry skin, lean your head over the kitchen sink, close your eyes, and intuitively massage nsaa in with gentle pressure, avoiding your eyes for 90 seconds (or for however long your skin likes). be gentle. of course as you do so. pray over your cells. speak power over them. speak strength. thank them. let it be for 10 minutes, rinse with warm water, and a damp facial washcloth. use once to twice weekly.
*since nsaa is all natural, mama earth's moods definitely have an impact. if below 70°, nsaa may feel more solid, but still melting to the touch. over 75°, nsaa may let loose, and all the black rice will push to the bottom as the oils rise to the top. no worries though! pop it in the fridge/ freezer checking on it every 5 ish minutes, and mixing it in with a spoon just before it solidifies. for nsaa to retain its creamy consistency, and healing powers, it must be placed in a cool/shaded place.
